The food here is amazing, I usually go for the jerk chicken as it is my favourite along with the rice and peas, with plantain and dumplings. Food is cooked well and taste great. Service was great, food was hot and will definitely recommend.
This place needs to be rated higher. I was skeptical to order because of the low ratings but it was the only Jamaican that came up on Deliveroo. We ordered brown stew chicken, jerk chicken and fried chicken for 8 of us and it was seriously good. Crispy chicken, delicious sauce. The delivery driver went on a bit of a mission with our food but that was on Deliveroo. Would definitely recommend! It's up there with the flavours you get in Jamaica, for sure
As it was my first time eating here I decided to go for the jerk chicken as I had heard it was really good. I ordered a small as I’m not a big eater and the portion size was very generous. There was enough for 2 plates. I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas and coleslaw. I believe it was a meal deal which was definitely value for money (see what I said about the portion size). Anyway the rice and peas was very nice, the chicken was outstanding. I could literally taste all the different flavours. It wasn’t too spicy/hot, the consistency was impregnable. I’ve been eating here ever since. Service is great, always and nice and friendly environment. I have and would definitely recommend..!
Had delivery from here so this review is based on that experience only. I've been on a personal mission to try all the jerk chicken here in Bristol, and this was an old spot for me during university a few years back when I was living in fishponds - a revisit was a must as I only went there once. Two portions of large jerk chicken (with rice and peas) and jerk sauce each. Up there with the best in Bristol, I could not recommend it enough. The aroma hits you as soon as you open the box - smokey mouth watering chicken. The portion sizes were amazing, one tub for rice n peas and one for the chicken (on the large at least). Which was enough for a full belly, but I could've easily eaten more simply because the taste was next level. You can tell much love goes into the chicken, if you've ever walked past you would have seen the level of attention they give to chicken outside cooking. The jerk sauce was a great addition I'd recommend to pour over the chicken and rice, not that chicken needs it but it does add more flavour to the rice n peas. 10/10. My personal favourite so far on my jerk journey hunt, can't wait to order from here again. Ignore the lower review score - it's a must try if you're after some authentic jerk chicken.
This is the second Time I have ordered via Deliveroo I’m duel heritage and grown up my whole life eating Jamaican food infact I also own my own catering business. Gawann mumma P BEST tasting authentic food in BRISTOL you can taste the love I had a soup from mumma Cleo and a soup from you yesterday and your soup WON but I needed a Dumpling!! Yea the rice got FLAVOURS I can taste the coconut.. I can taste the garlic I can taste that you use brown suger to make the brown stew everything on point only eating from you now. Please stay consistent wish I found you earlier your food is BANGING
I haven’t eaten inside here but I’ve had takeaway a couple times and it’s never disappointed. Their oxtail stew is amazing....so tender and just ps led with flavour. Their jerk chicken is also very nice, not too dry but also moist in the inside and I would also recommend this!
